TypeRoam Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TypeRoam, including its keyboard, voice, AI text, spelling, computer connection, backend, trial offers, and subscription features. By installing or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to consent to these Terms under the law where you live. If you are not legally able to enter a contract, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.

License and permitted use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful typing and productivity. Open-source components are separately licensed under the licenses displayed in the app. You may not interfere with the service, bypass access controls or allowances, abuse providers, distribute malware, violate law or third-party rights, or use automated means that place unreasonable load on the service.

Your content

You retain ownership of text, audio, commands, and other content you submit. You give us and our processors a limited permission to transmit, process, and temporarily store that content only as needed to provide the feature you request, secure the service, and comply with law. You are responsible for having the right to submit the content.

Voice and AI results

Speech recognition and AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Review important text before sending or relying on it. TypeRoam is not a medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safety-critical service, and its output is not professional advice.

Trials and subscriptions

• An eligible new user may receive 30 days of TypeRoam Pro after first signing in with Google. The account trial starts when the backend accepts the first eligible claim and is limited to one claim per Google account and, where used to prevent abuse, one claim per device.
• No payment method is required to start the account trial, and it does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.
• After the account trial ends, you can choose a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription through Google Play. Google Play shows the price, billing period, renewal date, taxes, and exact offer before you confirm.
• Without an active trial or Pro subscription, ordinary on-device keyboard typing remains available, while voice, AI, and Remote Typing features are unavailable.
• Plan changes, payment failures, grace periods, pauses, cancellations, and renewals are processed through Google Play and may take a short time to appear in TypeRoam.
• Refund requests are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, Google Play procedures, and mandatory consumer law.

Service changes and availability

We may improve, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, providers, models, or integrations. We will not retroactively charge you without consent. Where a material change affects an active paid service, we will provide notice or a remedy when required by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, security threats, unlawful use, non-payment, or material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time, delete your service data, and separately cancel your Google Play subscription.

Third-party services

Google Play, speech processors, AI providers, Android backup, and connected computer software are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect recognition, error-free AI results, or compatibility with every app or device. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or loss of profits, business, or data arising from use of the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or mandatory consumer protections.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for product, security, legal, or operational reasons. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. Your mandatory rights under the law where you live remain unaffected.
